Research.

For my topic, it's kind of focused loosely on the Civil Rights Movement. This topic has interested me a lot, and I think the studying on it in that we did in seventh grade helped to further that interest. What I chose to focus on is how it started, and the simple rights that people were fighting for during this time. For instance, the equality on a simple bus ride, or trying to get the approval to vote in an election. There are so many things that occurred during this movement that have to do with the project's topic, but I have to go through the difficult process of narrowing down my topic.

One thing that I know I'm definitely focusing on is that march to Selma, which ended in police officers brutally beating the marchers who refused to turn around and go back where they came from. Rosa Park is another story that I know would go perfectly with my topic. I just think it's gonna be hard for me trying to figure out what to focus on and what not to.

Project - 80 minutes.

Fault in Our Stars - 35 minutes

Indian Book from Class? - 10 minutes

  1. Hi Kennedy,
I think that's a great idea for a topic! I really find the Cilvil Rights Movement a very interesting and important topic! Focusing on the march to Selma is definitely narrowing it down and including Rosa Parks would be important as well. Good Luck!
