5. Women are more compassionate and less violent than men.
After reading the first few scenes of Macbeth, and then meeting Lady Macbeth, I kind of have no choice but to agree with this statement. She is the one who comes up with the plan to kill Duncan, so that Macbeth will be able to gain the throne quicker. The whole reason that she is the one to have to formulate this plan in the first place is because Macbeth is way too nice a guy to actually kill a person. In the text, he tells how he won't be able to look when he sees it, but Lady Macbeth on the other hands easily describes how she wants the evil within her to grow onto her husband. So going back to that quote, Lady Macbeth is extremely passionate about doing whatever it takes to help her husband gain the throne, but Macbeth is not a violent person, and isn't too happy to do this to Duncan.

7. Some things are destined or fated to happen.
Well.. this quote pretty much describes the whole novel. The witches came to Macbeth and Banquo, and told them how they will each become royalty one day (Banquo's children will be royal as well). Essentially, the witches told these two men what would happen in their future. Now problems arise because, instead of just sitting back and letting their fates occur, they decide that they should act on their fates, to make them happen faster. Not a great idea. So of course, their fate is to gain the throne, but at the same time their fate is to be eager, and sort of act in the wrong manner (this is what the witches left out).
